As children and young people grow up, there can be many instances where knowing first aid can make a difference, such as a friend falling off a bike or a classmate falling off the play equipment.
First aid education in schools can increase the number of children and young people able and willing to help in an emergency. From a young age they can learn to call for help and even administer basic first aid. it can improve their understanding of health issues, how to care for themselves, develop their self-confidence, self-esteem and their ability to cope with an emergency
